Guys,
Can we file I-485, after August 1 2007 and
before August 17 2007 (as I'm preparing my medicals). Is there a chance USCIS stop taking the application after July 31 2007 by giving some crap reason? Also I understand that filing fee is same for I-485 until August 17 2007.Is that true even for I-765 and I-131.Please clarify.

You could have done that only if you had the actual appointment notice with you (say with a different date/
place/time)
Unfortunately not without. See my PM to you.

Well this is a peculiar case:
My OPT started may 15 06. I started working for my present employer from July 06 and we missed out on last years qouta and I was sure that they will apply for this years. Today my manager calls me up and says that we CANT. Now I am in a soup. May 15 -- Oct 1 break and on top of that I need to find a consultant who can sponsor me visa at this time. These are my questions:
1. I can get my general qouta H1 done by a consultant. So if I goto India, will there be any problems while stamping ??
2. Whats wise?? staying here, getting a new I-20 or going back to India ?? Because 4.5 months is a long time and I dont think I can afford the expenses here.

YOu should go ahead and file your response to RFE. I had the same issue with my case when my attorney did not inform me of a RFE. After missing the deadline, I filed my repone through a different attorney explaining the problemand USCIS accepte my response.

The law requires that you report any and all change of address change within 10 days of the change.
You can choose to use the online tool and complete an electronic Form AR-11 and notify USCIS to update your address on most pending cases. However, if you choose to do it by paper, then AR-11 will not update your address on any applications or petitions pending with USCIS.
Hope this helps.

Online status says my applications were recd on Oct 2/ 2007.
My reciept notices show the right date in August.
Is there any need to worry or notify any one about this?
Please Advice.

As I understand , either there would be no bulletin revision(currently appearing impossible) or there would be a bulletin revision making some categories unavailable , in which case it doesnt matter even if your application has made it on July 2nd it will be returned. So why is the rush to get applications by mail/fedex/samedaydelivery/inpersondelivery/etc ?
Or is the rush to deliver only for those applicants with PDs in 2002-2004 who are hoping that their PD will make it in the new bulletin if it is not unavailable? I see no reason for the rush which seems to have increased after the rumor about the new bulletin on friday ...(although I personally asked my lawyer to send it on friday 6/29 and for which I have no confirmation if it was actually sent or not).

Can I count part time experience obtained before my Bachelors degree for an EB2 petition?
I have 2.5 years of part time experience, can we use this and apply with MBA+1 requirements?
Thanks

The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced today that it served Notices of Inspection upon 652 businesses around the country. Compare this with the 508 businesses which received Notices of Inspection in fiscal year 2008. An ICE spokesman told the press: "Part of the strategy is to show businesses that we mean business." We link to the ICE press release and the news story from our "Employers' Immigration Guide" at http://shusterman.com/toc-emp.html#9 Notices of Inspection are served on employers to compel them to surrender their I-9 forms to the government. The I-9 form verifies the identity and the employment authorization...

Hi for IRS n Tax purposes you are a resident alien (even though you may be a non-immigrant h1b or using EAD) that is different.
This form is not applicable to you. Tell the credit union that you are resident alien and then they will understand.
No need to fill this form.
Instead you need to apply for TIN (Tax Payer Identification Number) Form W-9 for your wife and get a TIN and use that TIN while adding as a dependent.
You can either file the TIN yourself or go to HnR block or some other service. Usually they file for TIN while filing tax return...

don't think their is a set time required. I know people that left their employer the day after gc arrived, know people that left 6 months after their approval and some that have worked for their employer even after receiving their green card for over 4 years. hope this helps
