We can't just poke around an established government agency because we feel they are not doing their job properly.
What do you (You refers to people who think above, not one in particular) say about the people who filed lawsuit and got the 180 day Name check rule to implementation faster? Not that I am proposing lawsuits, just an example to disprove what you said.
I am trying to figure out what you guys are trying to say. If you guys think that CIS will give you the GC on the day they will feel like and you are cool with it, Why even hopping around boards either for information or anything. Just follow the processing times and see whether number has been called or not. 99% of the crowd thinks here that we can get a better policy by making our voice heard. I assume yours is a conventional loan, how much equity do you have on your home, and how much down payment did you make on your home purchase first time?

SGP, It took 3-4 weeks for a co-worker in eb2 to get an approval once labor was filed(excludes Pre activities like ads etc)
It seems Feb 2011 is a golden era for PERM approvals , almost similar effect of July 2007. I have noticed people who filed in February got their PERM approvals in under 2 weeks.

Guys,
You all want something from IV and will contribute only if that something is being pursued. I would look at it other way, IV has no money on its own, so if you do not contribute there is very little IV can do for you. so first contribute and then let us have a discussion on what needs to be done.

thanks! thats encouraging..they already gave us a conditional approval last week asking for some documents, which I sent immediately. They didn't even open my documents for a week, and then the underwriter came back asking for some more things including this I94..these people are crazy! Today's my deadline and i still haven't heard anything

Assuming that the PD cut off date for a specific stream is 2004 Aug and there are still visa nos available but there are not enough application (can this ever happen for real) what are they going to do? They move the PD further up and whenever the pool is depleting they move it back again?
Assuming they move back the PD to 2000 after they ran out of the nos they start accepting AOS apps for that PD but they donot look at them (for adjudication) until the queue before is cleared based on the receipt date.
In such a case the PD lost all it's significance once the adjustment of status if filed?
If receipt date is the only significant date after AOS is filed then retrogressing to a specified date does not make sense as there is no need to accept new applications if they are not going to work on them and particularly when they know the current size of the queue.
Or May be I am missing something......

On the other hand i had my PD current on July and i applied. After i applied and before you applied there could be 10k(for example) applications. I just spoke with an Immigration Representative of my Senator. She knows me as I met her last year with my employer for my other issue.
She just informed me that we are (Not only we but whole Congress) shocked with un-precedent action of DOS/USCIS for July VB. Senator's Washington DC office is working on this issue including immediate legislative relief to Employment Based immigration. She is well aware of whole drama of July VB. I am going to call Washington DC Office as well.
I encourage every one call to their Senator and HR and speak with Immigration Representative. I think first time media and lawmakers have acknowledged the problem of Employment Based Immigration.
Call make much impact than the email/fax

A general question - Is it normal to see LUDs on the 485, approved 140, approved 765/131 a few (3) weeks after sending AC21/G28N documentation in?
I changed employers about a month ago (140 approved, 485 pending more than 180 days), and the new company filed AC21 on Nov 3. I saw a soft LUD on my 765, 131, 485, 140 yesterday (Nov 24) and another soft LUD on just my 485 today (Nov 25). I wonder if these have to do with the AC21 and G-28N updates or if it is a sign of I-140 revocation and I should expect a 485 denial soon?
Any response will be highly appreciated.
